The Greater Washington Weight Loss Center |
The goal of weight loss is 10% every 6 months until the target is reached. The target for weight loss is usually either the BMI of 25 or the lowest healthy weight we feel the patient can maintain. Weight fluctuation has its own hazards including gall bladder problems. During the course of weight loss we try to teach patients healthy habits and help them prevent weight gain. We have established a weight maintenance program for patients completing our weight loss program. In this program on a scheduled basis we review patient’s weaknesses and help guide them to maintain their current weight. We believe weight maintenance is more important than weight loss. We try our best to assist our patients in their journey.
